This privacy policy applies to the website phonedemo.app ("the Website"), operated by Petsound Limited ("we," "our," or "us"), a company based in New Zealand. It explains how we handle personal information collected when you sign up for the PhoneDemo Beta Program or otherwise contact us through the Website.

Our app, PhoneDemo, has its own separate privacy policy covering data within the app itself. Please see phonedemo.app/privacy-policy for details.

1. Information We Collect

When you sign up for the PhoneDemo Beta Program, we may ask you to provide:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Whether you are a musician (yes/no)
• Your device model and Android version (optional)
• Any other information you choose to share in a free-text message

We also collect any personal information you provide when you email us at dev@phonedemo.app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to:

• Manage the beta testing program and communicate with you about it.
• Select a balanced group of testers (e.g., aiming for roughly 50% musicians).
• Send you beta access instructions, updates, and feedback requests.
• Improve the app based on aggregated, anonymised feedback.

We do not use your personal information for marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or share it with any third party.

3. Storage and Security

Data submitted through our sign-up form is stored within the third-party platform we use to collect responses (for example, Google Forms, Tally, or similar). We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no internet transmission is completely secure.

If you contact us by email, your message and any subsequent correspondence will be stored in our email system.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your beta sign-up data for the duration of the beta program, and for a reasonable period afterwards to analyse aggregated feedback. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time (see Section 6). We will delete it within a reasonable timeframe, unless we are required to retain it for legal reasons.

5. New Zealand Privacy Act 2020

We comply with the Privacy Act 2020 of New Zealand. This means we:

• Only collect personal information for a lawful purpose connected with our activities.
• Take care to store it securely and prevent unauthorised access.
• Will provide you access to your information and correct it if you ask.

If you are based outside New Zealand, you may have additional rights under your local laws (such as the GDPR). While we voluntarily aim to respect those rights, this policy is governed by New Zealand law.

6. Your Rights and Contact

You have the right to:

• Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct any information you think is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your personal information (and be removed from the beta program).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at dev@phonedemo.app. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible.

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, you may contact us at the same address. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Because we don't collect information for newsletters, we can't notify you directly — please check back periodically.
